We’ve just released new functionality in Bango Analytics which will allow you to measure advert impressions and clicks. This builds on our existing page and link tracking technology to provide you with a full picture of campaign and on-site traffic.
Integration to measure ad impressions & clicks
You will need to add some code to your adverts to start measuring impressions and clicks. We have provided an easy to use page in the Bango Management Tools which will give you the code you need, all you have to do is input some basic information about your ads. To get your advert code:
- Sign in to the Bango Management Tools at www.bango.com/mt
- Click on the ‘Manage’ tab
- Click on the ‘Ad impresisons & clicks’ button
There are two pieces of code that will be provided for you for each advert; an image to place in your advert to measure impressions and a link to use in your advert to measure clicks. To find out more please read this article about measuring advert clicks and impressions.
The impressions & clicks report
Once you have added the code to your adverts you will see data for impressions and clicks in a dedicated report. You will see impressions, clicks and CTR (Click-through-ratio) data for each of your adverts. We use a unique id for each advert to tie the impression and click data together:
- Sign in to the Bango Management Tools at www.bango.com/mt
- Click on the ‘Analytics reports’ tab
- Click on the ‘Campaigns & goals’ button
- Click on the ‘Impressions & clicks’ link
This report data is displayed by advert id by default, you can easily change this by selecting a different option in the select menu above the data table. If you select to view the data by operator or device you can add a second dimension to the table so it is possible to view impressions and clicks by operator then by device or by device then by operator.
